Questions people ask before they commit
What is the difference between a strip-out and demolition?
A strip-out removes the fit-out and non-structural elements inside a building while the structure stays. Demolition removes structure. Many jobs include a little of both, but strip-outs are primarily interior work.
How long does a strip-out take?
From a day for a bathroom or kitchen to several weeks for a large commercial floor with after-hours restrictions.
What does make good mean?
Returning a leased premises to the condition the lease requires at the end of the lease — defined by the lease clause and any agreed schedule.
Do you work after hours?
Yes, where building rules require it or tenants need to keep trading.
Who isolates services?
Licensed electricians, plumbers, gas fitters and refrigeration technicians, before anything is cut.
What about asbestos?
The building's asbestos register is reviewed. Any asbestos in scope is removed by separately licensed removalists.
Is waste recycled?
Strip-out waste is sorted on site where practical — metal, plasterboard, carpet tiles, timber, glass and cabling.
